COVID Shopping: Appointment, Curb-side Pick-Up & Shipping

During COVID we are offering shipping, curb-side pick-up, and starting Tuesday May 19 in-store shopping by appointment. We are open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm for curb-side pick-up. 


In-Store Shopping by Appointment

Starting Tuesday May 19, 2020 we will be open for In-Store shopping by appointment. To keep our clients and staff safe we are implementing the following physical distancing measures:

  • Only ONE customer is allowed in the store at a time.

  • Customers MUST WEAR A MASK - the type is your choice. If you forget to bring one we have disposable masks for $1 each

  • We are accepting contactless forms of payment like a credit or debit card with 'tap' or Apple Pay, etc. WE CAN NOT ACCEPT CASH.

  • Appointments are approximately 20 minutes long.

  • Please mind personal space and stay approximately 2 metres (6 feet) from other people.


      To Place an Order for Curb-Side Pick-Up

      You can place your order online on our secure e-commerce website knitomatic.com, or by phone Monday to Saturday from 11am to 6 pm: 416-653-7849. 

      We are happy to help you choose your project, find the right colour, materials, or need suggestions - it's our job! During this very awkward period when clients are not allowed in the store we have found it easiest and fastest if we talk about your needs over the phone and then send links and images by email. 

      In order to respect social distancing protocols and keep our clients safe we are only accepting payment in advance. You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), and our online store also accepts Paypal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. We are not accepting tap-payments at the door.


      To Arrange for Curb-Side Pick-Up

      If you make your purchase over the phone you can tell us then. If you are shopping online, you haver the option of choosing Pick-up in as you check out.

      1. In your shopping cart, you have the option to leave us a note with any special directions or instructions (see image below):

       

      2. Choose "Pickup" in the shipping options when you check-out - it's on the first page/'Information' page of the check-out process (see image below).

      NOTE - at this time our system will only let you choose “Pick-up” if you are paying using  a credit or debit card. It will not give you the option if you are paying with an accelerated payment option like Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, or PayPal Express Check-out. If you want to use this form of payment you can put a note in your order saying you want to pick it up, then pay the shipping fee, and we will refund it right away. Sorry about the inconvenience!

      3. We will send you an e-mail when your order is ready for pick-up - all of the instructions will be in the e-mail. We try to prioritize pick-up orders, but we may need a little bit of time to get your order together (especially if we are winding yarn for you). 

      4. Please call when you are ready to get your order and we will have your order ready.

      5. Come to the front door and we will pass out your order (to respect your health and safety we will be wearing a mask). If you prefer, you can pull up in front of the store and we can place your order in your car.
