The Weekend Hat

The Weekend Hat is a stretchy hat with the combination of eye-catching cables and ribs. As you wear it, the ribs on the side becomes a good accent to further emphasize the cables. With short brim, it looks like a beanie; with longer, folded brim, it would be like a watch cap.
Start knitting from the brim, create cables while decreasing to the crown. Because this hat’s motifs are easy to memorize and the rhythm of knitting them so soothing, this hat could be a good prescription and companion for you to relax in weekend knitting and eventually going out for a walk with it as finished. • Sandnes Garn Double Sunday: 2 skeins (both versions)
• 4 mm/US6 – 16″ circular needle
• 3.5 mm/US4 – 16″ circular needle
• 4 mm/US6 double-pointed needles to shape the crown

Gauge

• 26.5 sts and 30 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in 2×1 rib on US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, blocked
• 28 sts and 31 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in cable pattern on US 6 (4 mm) needles, blocked
